Pow Pow Press is the English-language imprint of Montréal-based French publisher Éditions Pow Pow. Since 2015, Pow Pow Press’ goal has been to make the work of Québec cartoonists available to an English-speaking audience in both Canada and the United States. With over 20 titles released to date, Pow Pow Press is well-known as one of the best comic book publishers in Canada. Authors published by Pow Pow Press include Sophie Bédard, Pascal Girard, Zviane, Francis Desharnais, Blonk, Alexandre Fontaine Rousseau and Michel Hellman.
This year at SPX, Pow Pow Press is delighted to be hosting three of Québec’s best cartoonists: Boum (creator of the award-winning The Jellyfish as well as the long-running web series Boumeries), Cathon (the creator of tiki-themed murder mystery The Pineapples of Wrath and the wacky Adventures of Sgoobidoo as well as the illustrator of the horror-comedy Vampire Cousins), and Thom (creator of the silent Fables trilogy: Botanica Drama, VII, and Casa Rodeo).
