The Art Of Mark-Making: Loose Lines, Squiggles, and Stylizations

One of the best things about cartooning is that there are no rules with regard to their line and how they express themselves through mark-making. Some cartoonists use a dense, scribbly style, while others might try a sketchy and loose line. Others fuse different influences into their own unique stylizations. Moderator John Kelly (Dummy magazine) will discuss these visual style choices that Josh Bayer (Unended), Caroline Cash (PeePee PooPoo), Sophie Yanow (The Contradictions), and Benji Nate (Girl Juice) have made.
